Staring deeply into a golden basketball that you’ve worked your entire life for, just to say you’ve done it. You’ve reached the highest achievement in basketball and claimed it for yourself. Last year LeBron James did that for the first time, in the Nike LeBron 9 PS Elite and looks to do it again in game 7. District Customs and Trevor Duffles team up to create this custom that features the glitz and glamour and gold of an NBA Championship, of the Larry O’Brien Trophy. UBIQ x New Balance 1600 The Benjamin Teaser

One of the greatest things about being an independent sneaker shop is your tie to the city you’re in…and for UBIQ, Philadelphia is their city, Philly is their home. So what better way to pay homage to the city of Philadelphia but with a sneaker collaboration honoring the city’s historic past. UBIQ teams up with New Balance to deliver a special 1600 that features red, white and blue…along with an accenting brown. Nicknamed ‘The Benjamin’ after Ben Franklin…the shoe is straight out of 1776. Release date is slated for June 29th.

Nike Air Yeezy 2 Red October Custom

For the better part of a couple weeks the Yeezy 2 has moved along quietly ever since the rumors of the ‘Red’ Yeezy dropping this month were squashed. And with the birth of Kanye and Kim’s daughter over the weekend and the release of Kanye’s new album today…things are pretty much okay in the West/Kardashian household. However this post is about the sneakers…as teased the ‘Red’ Yeezy 2 might be releasing this October, but there is someone who has a pair before anyone else, sort of. Mache goes back into the lair to create the custom version of the red Yeezy 2 fittingly nicknamed ‘Red October’. Check out the custom below and tell us what you think of the work.

Air Jordan 4 White Cement Unreleased Sample

When the ‘Cement’ Air Jordan 4 made its second retro appearance last year it was nearly impossible to think that the shoe would not come back true to form. Granted the Cement Grey was a shade darker and the Nike Air branding was replaced with the standard Jordan Air branding. For the most part the shoe stayed true to its original design. But what if the retro happened but looked slightly different? What if Jordan Brand actually contemplated not dousing the silhouette in its black speckles but in grey speckles? The beauty of the Air Force 1 Bespoke is that every material, every pattern, every iteration of the sneaker is basically at your finger tips. Granted this kind of power does not come without a hefty fee, but be that as it may…such power is available to you. Just think you could be a designer for a day, of a one-of-one sneaker. Pretty dope. Liberty of London has definitely made 2013 their year and seemingly has no intentions of stopping its patterned reign. HelloElva has created his own Bespoke featuring paisley print that dominates the entire upper, camouflaging the Swooshes, overlay and paneling. If you haven’t noticed, Liberty is the new wave. Nike LeBron 10 Low Floral

Last year’s ‘LeBronald Palmer’ Low PE featured a festive golfer’s oasis appearance; with everything from the color scheme to the palm tree patterns on the upper, even to the Arnold Palmer on the insole. So would the LeBron 10 Low follow the LeBronald treatment? Well not really but it has gone a bit more trendy with a lively floral pattern. The Hyperfuse upper is given a black appearance similar to an ‘Elite’ make-up, but if you look closer you can see dark green floral accents in the lighting. The rest of the upper is doused in a green/orange/yellow-ish floral pattern that even makes its way onto the Flywire laid across the upper. A gold inverted heel Swoosh brings that ‘Elite’ feel out more with a transitioning green midsole and light green translucent outsole. Nike Air DT Max 96 Black-Mica Green-Volt

Primetime is back and back with a limelight to stand under thanks to this new colorway of the Air DT Max ’96. Black nubuck dresses the upper of the Nike Training classic; including the strap, as grey slithers its way in between the black ranging down to the midsole. Mica Green and Volt combine to make a bright addition to the season-neutral color scheme at the heel, Air Max unit and outsole. Expect to see this DT Max ’96 sometime early next year.

Nike Zoom KD IV Kill Bill Custom

Quentin Tarantino is probably wondering how he became so popular in the sneaker world, but no matter…we are sure that he is pleased with the artistry inspired by his films. His early/mid ’00′s ‘Kill Bill’ series was the return of gory martial arts films and for that reason…it remains like a folk tale in the movie industry and in pop culture. Gourmetkickz steps back from the Air Force 1 and Zoom Rookie just for a while to deliver this custom. Yellow floods the Zoom KD IV upper until it is met by black going toward the heel. White on the midsole is accented by red “blood” splatters and so are the yellow/black straps. Characters are added to the one strap as Uma Thurman’s jacket black pattern is added to the other. What do you think of this ‘Kill Bill’ custom?

Nike LeBron 10 EXT Denim

For what can only be described as a mini-eternity, we have seen an incredible slew of images of the ‘Denim’ LeBron 10 EXT. You name it we’ve seen it; beach shots, leaked shots, studio-like shots, on foot shots. The Denim Bron has been everywhere in a matter of months…everywhere but shelves and stockrooms, until this Saturday. Nike’s second EXT release of the silhouette features a clean blue denim upper with pink accents of Dynamic Flywire, a Zoom midsole and translucent outsole. With an inverted Swoosh and lion logo laser etched into the silhouette, brown leather accents the tongue and lining. Release date is June 22nd, 2013 and will be released at select Nike retailers.

Liberty x Vans
