Jordan Brand is Taking its Stars Back to High School

High school…for some it was an unforgettable four years…for others perhaps not so much. There are life events and experiences you’ll never forget; like senior prom, graduation…homecoming, spirit week, etc. But for a select few, high school was another stepping stone on the road to the person you dreamed of becoming. And that is true for Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook.

Upon graduating from famed Oak Hill Academy in 2002, Carmelo Anthony then took his talents back to his birth-state of New York to deliver Syracuse its own National Championship of the tournament-era the following year. All before being selected with the third overall pick that same year by the Denver Nuggets. The Air Jordan 13 Retro pays homage to the colors of Oak Hill.

Chris Paul, a product of North Carolina attended and graduated in 2003 from West Forsyth High School. Paul scored an astonishing 61-points in a single game, a point for every year his late-grandfather lived. Additionally in his senior year, Paul would be selected as a McDonald’s All-American. The olive, metallic gold and sail motif of the Air Jordan 12 Retro matches the colors of his alma mater.

Russell Westbrook, long before he was an NBA Most Valuable Player and the second player to average a triple-double for an entire season…and being the only to repeat the feat the very next year…he was a California kid who attended Leuzinger High School. Committing to UCLA, April 19, 2006…the Jordan Brand on-court front-man’s high school is honored with a split colorway of the Air Jordan 10 Retro dropping June 30th.
