Paul George’s run with the Nike PG2 is already a success. After rolling into Quicken Loans Arena with a PlayStation backpack that housed the aforementioned PG2, George’s Thunder rolled the Cavaliers in historic fashion. Putting up 148-points in regulation, a franchise-worse for the Cavs. After debuting the Nike PG1 with the NBA2K17 color scheme, inspired by George’s status as the cover athlete of the 2016 game, the sneaker never released, instead going with the PreHeat colorway and others to follow.
This year, another video game themed PG leads the way; the PlayStation x Nike PG2. Inspired by George’s love for gaming, the collaboration sports features entirely unique to the console. From the colored eyelets that match the colored icons on the controller to the cross, square, triangle and circle icons along the quarter. Vibration and even a pulsating light behind the tongue logos and a voucher code on the heel. This release is for the sneaker enthusiast and for the gaming enthusiast alike.
Release is slated for February 10th in limited quantities on SNKRS.
