Oregon x Doernbecher Team Up to ‘Stomp Out Cancer’

The pride of the state of Oregon, the University of Oregon’s football program is among the elite in college football. Not only for their on-field success but thanks to their backing from Nike. Birthed in at the university in Eugene; Phil Knight and Bill Bowerman’s brand is forever thankful to the place that launched an empire. We’ve seen Nike step up for causes in the past; such as the Think Pink campaign in conjunction with the Kay Yow Fund, BETRUE and Equality initiative and of course, the Doernbecher Freestyle.

For the last 14 years, Nike has collaborated with the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, creating lasting memories and helping to raise substantial money in aid attempts for pediatric illnesses. Working side by side with the University of Oregon football program in the fight against pediatric cancer, the Ducks will don special uniforms on September 9th…couple with a special Oregon x Doernbecher x Nike Air Max 90 Ultra 2.0 releasing in men’s, women’s and big kid’s sizes. Availability begins September 4th on SNKRS.

Joe MacDonald, Sophia Malinoski and Ethan Frank each diagnosed with cancer, with the assistance of Nike created a piece of the uniform that will come together to help ‘stomp out cancer’. For more on their story and how the project came to be, follow the link.
