Finally. It was an uphill climb but finally, celebrating is not a crime any longer in the NFL. Well, to a degree. Tuesday, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell announced in an official statement what is now permitted by the league for touchdown celebrations, examples include: using the football as a prop, celebrating on the ground and celebrating with teammates. This certainly would’ve saved Terrell Owens and Chad Johnson some cash. However certain acts will still be penalized; so that probably means you still can’t twerk Antonio Brown.
Shout out to the NFL for putting a little more fun into the ‘No Fun League’.
Following conversations with dozens of players, we’re making changes to our celebrations policy: https://t.co/1NLdEJjsGD
