This particular season has been unlike any Russell Westbrook has encountered in his NBA career thus far. With a well documented and less-than-cordial split with Kevin Durant who took his talents to the Bay Area…Westbrook finds himself in a new position with the OKC Thunder. However, Russ quickly showed the world that without pressure…there are no diamonds. And has made this season his own playground.
Becoming only the second player in history to average a triple-double for an entire season….Westbrook passed “The Big O” Oscar Robertson for most triple-doubles in a season with 42, in dramatic fashion Sunday night. More to come from that particular aspect in an upcoming article. But Westbrook’s season has not gone unnoticed by Jordan Brand; and since joining up with Team Jordan in 2012 has only seen his star grow.
Jordan Brand will celebrates Westbrook’s historic season with the release of his Air Jordan 30.5 PE. A hybrid between the short-lived Air Jordan XXX and the Air Jordan XXX1. Keeping in touch with Westbrook’s ‘Why Not?’ mantra, the PE will release on April 29th. You can pick up the ‘Why Not?’ Collection from Nikestore today…including some previously unreleased All-Star Weekend pieces.
