Ronnie Fieg has practically owned 2014 and made it his personal design suite. But Fieg looks to add the icing on top of the collaborative cake with a twin release that has roots in New York and in Daytona. Last Black Friday, Fieg recalled his travels and stays in Dayton, Florida which prompted the release of the New Balance 1600 of the same name. He explains that soon after the release, he began to look ahead as to how to honor the locations of his two KITH stores. One in Manhattan, the other in Brooklyn.
What became of that was the New Balance 530 ‘Central Park’ and the New Balance 850 ‘Brooklyn Bridge’. Two iconic landmarks of not only New York, but of the United States. Dipped into a fall inspired, autumnal vibe…the 530 is crafted from hues of deep and rich red to bright and vibrant yellow. While the 580 takes after the sky that is suspended above the suspended landmark along with inspiration taken from the bridge itself.
Take a look at the official images below with both pairs dropping on Black Friday for $185 (Central Park) and $175 (Brooklyn Bridge) respectively.
