Remember that first pair of kicks you picked up with your dad’s money and he let you walk out the store in…
Remember the first pair of kicks you bothered your dad for until he got them for you…
Remember the allowance money he gave that you eventually spent on kicks, but it was okay because you learned the value of a dollar…
Remember the talks you would have with your dad about upcoming releases he had no interest in, but it was okay because it was time you spent together…
Remember the NBA games you watched with your dad and how much you wanted your favorite players shoes and he got those for you, and you found him to be the greatest person ever…
Remember the money for good grades you saved and spent on sneakers and how proud he was of you and the person you were becoming…
If any of these sound like the relationship you had with your father, just stop and think about his presence in your life. The many lessons you learned…if this post has only gotten you to remember times with your father….it has done its job.
