11. Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III “Salmon Toe”
Our list kicks off with the Ronnie Fieg x Asics Gel Lyte III “Salmon Toe”, it has been a big year for the pair with multiple big time releases throughout 2011. Releasing back in September these Asics had everyone buzzing before the release date. Featuring a beautiful suede Salmon colored toe box, this shoe was definitely destined for greatness since its conception. Congrats to Ronnie Fieg and Asics on a remarkable 2011, expecting bigger and better things from the duo in 2012.

10. Nike Air Force 1 “Year of the Rabbit”
The Nike Air Force 1 refuses to be a footnote in sneaker history, constantly finding ways to re-invent itself and stay fresh and relevant. You cannot knock the AF1. And with 2011 being the Year of the Rabbit, as it falls in the Chinese Zodiac. Released way back in January, the ‘YOTR’ Air Force 1 features a white/tan base upper, clear ice sole and a red fuzzy bunny like Swoosh and rabbit logo on the heel. Only time will tell what the Air Force 1 ‘YOTD (Year of the Dragon)’ might look like but not sure if it will top the ‘YOTR’ AF1.

9. Nike Air Griffey Max 1 “Emerald Mariner”
The Nike Air Griffey Max 1 ‘Emerald Mariner’ released this year to great anticipation. Ever since the info surfaced that the Kid’s first Air Griffey Max signature would hit the following year in the OG Seattle Mariner colorway, sneakerheads went slightly crazy. The ‘Emerald Mariner’ might just be the best cw of the Air Griffey Max 1 and it definitely takes people back to the days when Griffey was a young force in the MLB. Coming in at #9 on our list…the ‘Emerald Mariner’ Nike Air Griffey Max 1.

8. Nike Lebron 8 Low “Sprite” “Solar Red” & “Miami Nights”
Yes, this was a hard decision so we decided to put all three since we could not decide which was better between the three. The ‘Sprite’, ‘Solar Red’ and ‘Miami Nights’ Lebron 8 Low all were astonishing and all displayed beautiful colorways. These three made the Lebron 8 probably the best of the Lebron line, and even tho they were low cuts and not mids, they out shined even some mids. So here’s to you, the Nike Lebron 8 Low.
7. Air Jordan 7 “Year of the Rabbit”
Our second ‘YOTR’ shoe to make an appearance on our list, the Air Jordan 7 ‘Year of the Rabbit’. The spring 2011 release originally drew comparisons to the ‘Hare’ Jordan 7 ironically the ‘YOTR’ 7’s feature a similar colorway with gold laces and accents. The ‘YOTR’ 7’s give a clean look to an historic Jordan signature and continues to show why the Jordan 7 is among the favorites of many.

6. Nike Air Foamposite One “Royal Blue”
Let’s go back to 1997 for #6, not literally but more like February when the Nike Air Foamposite One came back in its truest OG form. The ‘Royal Blue’ colorway, the colorway of the Orlando Magic and the colorway and shoe that started a phenomenon. Foam heads could not have been happier to see these return and the 2011 retro looked as clean as the 1997 original. Not many shoes have captivated a group of people like the Nike Foamposite One ‘Royal Blue’. Penny…this one is for you.
